VT Garment is a leading sportswear and outerwear designer and manufacturer in Thailand, producing for international brands including Patagonia. Established in 1981, its Bangkok facility employs around 2,000 people and combines large-scale manufacturing with a longstanding commitment to responsible production, employee welfare and environmental improvement.
THE CHALLENGE
For a Fair Trade Certified manufacturer, responsible production goes beyond the quality of the products being made. It also means creating better working conditions, supporting employee wellbeing and demonstrating strong social and environmental responsibility throughout the business.
For VT Garment, these commitments are an important part of being a trusted manufacturing partner to global brands that place increasing value on responsible sourcing and supply chain standards.
The challenge was therefore not simply to improve the indoor environment, but to do so in a way that was practical, effective and easy to integrate into day to day operations. Any solution needed to support employee welfare without creating unnecessary disruption to the manufacturing process.
“As a certified Fair Trade manufacturer, we are very committed to looking after our employees. The installation of these filters continues this commitment. As the filters are manufactured to replace filters in existing systems, they were inexpensive, simple and easy to install.”

A PRACTICAL ADDITION TO EXISTING SYSTEMS
Because the filters were designed to replace existing HVAC filters, the upgrade could be incorporated into the facility without major system replacement or complex retrofitting. This gave VT Garment a straightforward way to introduce an active layer of protection against bacteria, viruses and mould within its existing infrastructure.
The simplicity of the upgrade is an important part of the solution. AirVantage can support improvements to the indoor environment without requiring businesses to shift their focus away from their core operations.
For VT Garment, this means being able to continue concentrating on what it does best: manufacturing high quality products and serving as a trusted global partner to brands that truly value social responsibility.
PART OF A WIDER COMMITMENT
AirVantage forms part of a broader approach to responsible manufacturing, alongside VT Garment’s investments in employee welfare, energy efficiency and continuous operational improvement. Antipathogen filtration provides another practical way to strengthen the working environment without adding unnecessary complexity to day to day operations.
By integrating simple improvements like AirVantage into its existing facilities, VT Garment demonstrates that meaningful progress does not always require major transformation. Sometimes, simple and intentional upgrades can form part of a much broader commitment to creating better places to work and manufacturing responsibly.
