Creating Better Places to Learn at Bangkok Prep

Bangkok Prep is a leading international school in Bangkok with a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of its school community. As part of this commitment, the school sought an innovative way to enhance its indoor environment without requiring significant changes to its existing ventilation infrastructure.

THE CHALLENGE

Schools bring large numbers of students and staff together in shared indoor spaces every day. making the indoor environment an important consideration for health, comfort, and learning.

Seasonal flu and other respiratory illnesses can present an ongoing challenge for school communities, with illness-related absenteeism potentially disrupting both attendance and learning. For Bangkok Prep, this created an opportunity to take a proactive approach to supporting a healthier indoor environment for students and staff.

A SIMPLE UPGRADE

In 2022, Bangkok Prep installed antipathogen air filters, originally introduced under the NanoGuard brand and now part of the AirVantage solutions range. The school continues to use the filtration solution today.

The project demonstrated how advanced antipathogen filtration can be seamlessly integrated into an existing building, upgrading the performance of existing HVAC systems without the need for major replacement, complex retrofitting or disruption to everyday school activities.

For Bangkok Prep, this provided a practical way to add an active layer of protection against bacteria, viruses and mould within its existing HVAC system, supporting a cleaner indoor environment and providing greater peace of mind for students, staff and the wider school community.

“Aligned to our core values, we are always looking at innovative ways to improve the health and wellbeing of our staff and students. The purchase of this innovative solution means that we are able to create healthier spaces and improve ventilation easily whilst also supporting welfare advancements.”
